geek chick says...
Don't hate your maths!
-
If you hate it, then
you haven't got much chance of understanding it.
-
If you don't understand
now, then you probably won't magically start understanding it later.
-
If you don't understand
it, then it's going to be hard to pass.
If repeating your
maths/stats course seems like the worst possible nightmare, then do
something about it - get some tutoring.
Have someone
explain the concepts in terms you can understand. If your current
teacher/lecturer/tutor isn't
making sense, then you need to look around for someone who does.
Don't leave it until you know that you'll fail.
-
Failing is bad.
-
Failing is really,
really unpleasant - because you'll have to repeat the course and sometimes
have to wait a year to do that.
-
Repeating a course is
really boring. If you didn't enjoy it the first time, imagine sitting
through it again.
-
Your parents get
annoyed at you if you fail. Who knows, they might pay for some tutoring for
you if you warn them that you're in trouble. They don't want you to fail
either! You'll just hang around home for longer...

it's too late!
